The Challenge
The client wanted a once-in-a-lifetime, Director-level incentive trip for their top performing Franchisees – the destination of which would be revealed at their annual conference. The client had a reputation for amazing incentive travel trips and this one had to meet this expectation. The destination had to appeal to a discerning well-travelled group with a “work hard, play hard” mentality. It also had to have “wow” factor and offer a wide range of activities as well as exciting dining and nightlife options. The 40 person group required a mixture of single and double occupancy rooms in luxury accommodation. Included within their bespoke experience were domestic and international flights, ground transportation, an exclusive “once in a lifetime” itinerary, insurance and the services of an exceptional onsite event team. A destination launch video and full communications programme were also required.
Our Solution
We proposed Cape Town – South Africa’s vibrant “Mother City” – one of the most cosmopolitan and iconic cities in the world as the destination for their prestigious trip.
With no jet lag and an instant hit of winter sunshine, we knew that the scenic splendour and vibrancy of the “Mother City” would take the participants’ breath away as we prepared a 5 day/ 4 night blast which took in the very best that the thriving metropolis of Cape Town had to offer. All set against the iconic backdrop of Table Mountain.

The client was delighted with the trip and the feedback from both the Franchisees and senior stakeholders was superb! The programme struck just the right balance between an action packed “wow” factor itinerary which ticked off all the “must see” sights; time at leisure to chill out and explore under their own steam as well as sufficient time for networking between the Franchisees and senior figures within the business. As a result, it helped strengthen important relationships and generated valuable brand engagement. The group also had great fun in magnificent surroundings.
